Perfect Man: Top 10 Movies

1. Akira – (the movie is still beyond it’s time, a supreme source of inspiration and creativity. Bottom line an epic masterpiece!)

2. They Live – (one of the greatest fight scenes of all time between Keith David and WWF legend Rody Piper is just icing on this cake in a classic sci-fi/ B-movie that is a cautionary tale on the evils of capitalism. It resonates today just as it did in the Regan era.)

3. Revolver – Guy Ritchie’s finest movie was his most slept on. I’ve never seen a action/ gangster film with so much depth.

4. Bamboozled - This Movie was the most brilliant satire since the Network, This is Spike Lee’s magnum opus in my opinion exploring the exploitation and racism in the media and how it goes hand in hand with capitalism.

5. Ghost Dog – The spiritual, gangster, hip-hop, samurai, western movie…all blended together seamlessly. This is also what made RZA a musical score genius.

6. The Matrix – Aside from the amazing special effects and the action….the plot had to be the best in terms of the man vs. machine plotline. Forget the other two movies.

7. TC2000 – The greatest kung-fu B-Movie of all-time!!!!

8. Hav Plenty – The best love story movie I’ve seen. Hilarious look at love and sex but unlike most movies it was easy to relate to. Its a shame it was so underrated.

9. Commandante – A conversation between Oliver Stone and Fidel Castro is so refreshing in the era of so many contrived interviews this one flows very easily. A wonderfully executed documentary which goes into detail on events rarely discussed such as the Cuban Revolution or the Bay of Pigs.

10. Enter The Dragon – Bruce Lee and Jim Kelly, it can’t get any better than that….well maybe, in the original script jim kelly lived and john saxson died…even still this movie changed the face of martial art cinema and still stands the test of time as an all-time great.
